Goodbye 2011

I can't believe another year has come and gone. We have had an eventful year! Here is what I could come up with for a Top 10 list.
1. Kaden was accepted into training at Eagle Academy for Farm Bureau. He finished and starting today, he is his own agent!
2. My little Boston is healthy. We had quite a scare a few months ago when the doctors thought he may have had a brain tumor.
3. Put our house up for sale and moved to Centerville in December for Kaden's job.
4. Tried fish way to many times this year and I still don't like it.
5. I was able to start playing soccer and it feels so good to be out on the field again.
6. The Women's World Cup this year was awesome...I don't think I've screamed so much at the TV.
7. We have been able to chip away at debt, our goal for 2012 is to have everything paid off except one of our cars.
8. Jaxon is 5 now and started preschool and loves to learn.
9. Peyton was potty trained, finally. After at least 6 months of working with her, its done.
10. I have to say I am sad that the Harry Potter series is over. The first book came out when I was in 8th grade. I remember a girl brought the first one to my science class and kept raving about wizards, magic, a boy named Harry and how awesome it was. All I could think was how weird I thought she was so the book had to be weird. I know that's horrible but in my defense, I was 13 and still new to the whole hormone problem of being a teenager. It took me another year before I gave it a chance and I loved it too.

Today I'm just gonna vent a little...after it seemed so many things weren't going our way the past few weeks, like our dryer broke, our brand spanking new lawn mower broke down, kaden needed all new tires on his car, my brakes went out on my car, all 3 of my kids were sick for two weeks between them in the middle of putting our house up for sale, and would it be a story if peyton didn't break something...she somehow managed to snap one of the dining room chair legs in half, while we're trying to stage our house...it was awesome, oh and on top of that, I feel like I'm in a teenager again cause my face has broken out. Nice huh? I thought that was over with after high school....not so much this month! But all of this felt like nothing when we found this out.

This month we found out Boston would need to go get a CT Scan up at Primary Children's on his head. Our pediatrician saw some symptoms in Boston that he felt strongly enough about that indicated that he may have a tumor or some other mass or fluid built up in his brain. Scariest thing I have really ever had to listen to, for your doctor to say "your son shows some signs that he may have a tumor." He has been a little slow to develop and his head has grown 30% in the past 4 months, his weight has dropped below the charts and his height was only measured at 11%, which was the same as his checkup last time we went in. So that day I made an appointment, which was Thursday and we had to wait til the following Friday to get in. Once we got up there it went pretty quickly and it was comforting to be confident in Primary Children's and in their staff. They said they would call us by that evening with his test results, and if we didn't hear from them, then it wouldn't be til Monday. Of course, with our luck lately, we had to wait til Monday. We finally got the phone call at 10:30 a.m. and all the nurse said was "we got your results" ...as my stomach was in the floor.... "and your sons scan came back normal." I'm not sure what I said to her cause I quickly hung up and began to cry and if you know me, I don't cry much. I was so relieved, and felt like the weight of the world had been lifted off my shoulders. I feel like most things don't get to me and I handle stress pretty well, but this was something so out of my control that could have affected my son and our little family for the rest of our lives. I immediately felt so grateful for all those who had been praying, fasting, and for the blessing Kaden was able to give him the night before. I don't know if we have ever prayed so much, not only out loud but silently to ourselves every time we looked at him. We are so blessed to be where we are in our lives, sometimes life throws you a curve but I hope we never have a scare like this ever again.

On a happy note, Kaden has been interviewing to be moved up at work and become an agent, and we found out last week that he got the job in the midst of everything and I'm so proud of him.

I was looking through some old pictures and had to laugh at this. We lived in Texas when I was younger for a few years, and that is where I took swimming lessons for a summer and learned to 'fly'...we always joked about this photo of me growing up, its hard to tell on here, I wish the picture wasn't so blurry, but I was still mid air while all the other kids were either in the pool or getting up the courage to fall in. Pretty sure I wasn't afraid to belly flop.

First Day of School

Jaxon started preschool on Wed. Sept 7. It was a bitter sweet. He is so smart and loves to sit down and learn. It amazes me what he absorbs. He can write his name all by himself, we have been working on it for the past few months and I must say I am one proud mama. When we picked him up, he hugged me and asked if he could go take a nap on the couch. I'm glad he had a good first day.

I had a hard time with him starting school...call me lame, i'm glad he is growing up but its crazy how fast he has grown up.

Summer Fun

NEW MEXICO

My sister Sara and her little family have moved again:( To have some fun and hang out together one more time before they left, my family all got together and went to the park and just had fun. So sad they have moved again. At least it's closer this time. We can at least drive to New Mexico compared to Ohio where they were. We had lots of fun and Sara, Brandon and Brookie...you will be missed. Please come visit soon:)

DIXON MOVED

Dixon moved away a few weeks ago and this was the last time he came to hang out with us at our house:( We have had a few friends over, watched Ghost Adventures, played games and ate lots of food most Friday nights for the past few years with Dixon and Alex and occasionally they bring friends with them. We love these boys!

Boston has mastered eating baby food this summer. He is almost 10 months old now, and can finally sit up on his own, pushed 2 teeth this past week, rolls to get where he wants but he is close to crawling, and can say ma ma ma, which makes me proud:) We love this kid and can't imagine life without him in it.

"A 1/4 of a century"

I heard this phrase so many times last Tuesday. "you're a quarter of a century." Everyone I talked to, told me that like I'm doomed....it was my birthday and I am 25. I'm no longer in my early 20's...I'm officially mid 20's, and guess what?...I'm okay with that. Age is just a number, and I feel more comfortable in my own skin than I ever have. I know who I am and who I want to be. I learn something everyday about myself and couldn't be happier. I have an amazing husband, the best kids, great families and awesome friends.

My mom, sisters and the kids went to "Despicable Me" at the theater. They do replay movies that have already come out on Tuesday mornings during the summer

My niece Brooklyn and me have the same birthday. Its fun to share and celebrate the best day in the world with someone I love! Happy Birthday little B.

Women's Conference

I went to the byu's women conference a couple of weeks ago with my mom and sisters Jenny and Sara. The best part was really hanging out with them and laughing the entire time. It was really hard for me to leave my kids and husband overnight. I've never done that and I've never left Boston for more than an hour or so since he was born. But I did it and survived!

Can I just say, the idea of women's conference is great, and they have lots of great classes.....but some of the women that go, are a little crazy. It seemed to bring out the worst in alot of women.

My husbands little brother Dixon, is a senior this year and we've been to lots of baseball games this spring! He is an amazing pitcher, and just found out he will be going to California to a JC to play this fall! We're really gonna miss him. He has spent lots of time at our house over the years and my kids adore him. I love him like he's my own little brother.

Kaden's grandpa, Boyd Marble, passed away last Saturday on Kaden's birthday. He was such an amazing man that lead and amazing life and will be missed by many.

Kaden has been so much more than I could've ever hoped for in a husband.
1. He is so good at being the first to apologize, even when something is my fault....
2. He tells me everyday how much he loves and appreciates everything I do.
3. Tells me I'm beautiful, even when if I know I look horrible.
4. After a long day at work, he will still cook dinner if I haven't been able to do it by the time he gets home.
5. Can make friends with ANYONE.
6. Loves to support his brother in his sports
7. Is a great softball player and enjoys it even if they aren't winning....he's a happy 'loser'
8. Loves being outdoors, hunting, sports, snowboarding (something i am jealous of, cuz i stink at it)
9. Is a worthy Priesthood holder and I'm so grateful to have that in our home
10. Is an incredible daddy and our kids adore him.
11. Its his birthday today!!!! Happy 24 Years old man:)

Finally got our trampoline to our house from kade's parents yesterday that has been there since christmas...Kaden and his dad and Josh, my bro in law, set it up and the kids loved it.

We had a BBQ with our families! Kaden's sweet grandpa passed away during the party so his parents left early. He was an incredible man and has been in a lot of pain so as Kaden would say, it's bitter sweet.

So i am going to start doing 'Peyton Tales'. She is always doing funny, cute, crazy things and I don't want to forget about them by not writing it down. Hopefully some of you can relate with your kids to some of the things she is doing. This list I am about to write is ONE weeks worth of things she has done....not funny sometimes at first but we love her just the same.
1. Pooped during her afternoon nap in her crib, and smeared it on the wall, and ate it...yes i said ate it, not once, but 4 times. 20 minutes of scrubbing it out from under her finger nails...i do have pictures of the after but i figured i didn't want anyone to gag.
2. Put a half a bottle of the Big Johnson's baby lotion on herself and clothes
3. Put 3/4 of a bottle of hand sanitizer (the big pump bottle) in her hair, eyes, her clothes and on the floor....and yes she was screaming when it burned her eyes.
4. Dumped a cup of water while taking a bath onto the floor, which spread to where the tiles and carpet meet, which dripped through the floor, down into our furnace room and through the ceiling in our basement.
5. Dumped about 3/4 Gallon of distilled water in my moms pantry.
6. Got into my make up bag twice (see a few posts down to see a picture)
7. Split her head open again for a 3rd time, right in the middle of her forehead
8. Dumped out more than half a can of Bostons baby formula down the bathroom sink and on the floor
9. Got into Kaden's cologne and deodorant and sucked on them....
10. Climbed up her kitchenette set which almost tipped over on top of her
11. Her trying to put headbands on her head
12. She plays PS3 with Kaden and Jaxon (or so she thinks she plays) she swings it around cause she thinks it works like the Wii remote.
13. When she 'toots' or burps, she proudly claims it and says "My poofed" "Excuse me"! She says poof, cause my family growing up, we always used the term 'boof'. Yes i know it's not something anyone ever claims or talks about. We always thought the word boof made it funny.
14. Calls Jaxon a 'you butt' which really hurts his feelings. When he does it back, she shrugs her shoulders and is on her way. She could care less and thinks its funny, which makes Jaxon mad that it doesn't hurt her feelings too.
15. When we know she is into something and ask her what is going on, her response is always 'nussin' (nothing)
Now you are probably wondering, where in the crap is her mom...well I honestly can't answer that. I swear I turn my head for one second to help one of the other kids or do something around the house, and the next thing i know, she has gotten into something!
Here is one that i caught on camera, I found Peyton in the toy cubby when I asked her to pick up toys....Oh how we love our Peytee.

It was such a special day. We had alot of friends and family there to support us!....During his blessing, my cousin said he opened his eyes and saw Boston smiling and grinning the whole time. We absolutely love him and are so blessed to have him a part of our family. Wish I would've taken pictures of everyone afterward but thank you to everyone who helped and came to share the day with us!

I KNOW THIS IS LONG BUT PLEASE READ IT.
    On Thursday, Kaden was on his way home from work. It was snowing and the roads were really bad. In a 3 mile stretch, there were 11 accidents and car slide offs. 4 or 5 cars in front of Kaden, a car lost control and started to slide, the car behind it hit it, and the one behind that hit that one. Every one slammed on their breaks attempting to avoid another pile up. The car in front of him started to spin when it tried to break, leaving Kaden 2 choices, either hit that car and be sandwiched from the car behind him or try to bail and rear off the road into the center ditch with the barricades. He chose the barricades. He hit black ice while trying to move off the road and ended up hitting the cable barricades going 50 miles an hour...the driver side of his car was crushed. He had to climb out the passenger side....the car is ruined but I still have my husband...
     I'm writing this because we were very lucky and Kaden walked away without a scratch. I'm grateful that my husband works for a great insurance company and we have great coverage and life insurance. I am asking ALL of you who read this, because you are all my friends and family, and maybe some just checking out from another blog, if you don't have life insurance and you are single with debt, married, have kids, a house, cars or other valuable items...do yourself and your family a favor and get Life insurance and make sure you have the right amount of coverage.

We are excited for the New Year! Our kids get smarter and bigger every day and sometimes it makes me sad how fast they grow up. But the older they get, the funner they are! Here's a great start to the New Year!

I can't believe my little boy is 4 already! We love you bud:) Happy Birthday!
This morning when I told him Happy Birthday, he said "Again...?" We have celebrated his birthday twice this past week already and had cake and presents already with family...Then we explained we hadn't given him the presents from us yet and he said "Ok, lets go open them then." Smart kid:)

Jaxon was swinging some toy trains around in a plastic bag, and Peyton happened to walk right into it and split her head open....it was sweet.....not

Luckily, it is healing really well. They ended up putting glue on her head instead of stitches thank goodness!

We spent our first time in the ER with Peyton a few weeks ago....Jaxon and Peytee were playin on a wooden rocking chair and we think he was pushing her a little too hard in it, and she hit her face on the rail cause thats where the blood was, and her tooth went through horizontally under her lip and split vertically on the outside and this is what it looked like.

This is where she needed stitches....of course its right there on her face. This is right after it happened on our way to the hospital.

This is what they strapped her in to hold her down.

She had 2 different nurses and a respiratory therapist holding her down plus the straps. She had 7 numbing shots...which never ended up working so she felt everything. And after the first sedative didn't work to calm her down, they gave her a 2nd one in her leg which was supposed to pretty much knock her out...but it only lasted maybe 10 minutes and she was back up fighting again. The worst part was she said "owie" and " mommy" the entire time.

3 1/2 hours later...

This is right after Daddy and Jaxon came back in the room. She was a little out of it and pretty loopy. As soon as Jaxon saw her, he kept sayin "I'm so sorry mommy" and then kept apologizing to Peyton cuz he felt so bad.

And these were taken 2 weeks after, it is healing really good! We're hoping it fades. So far it is looking better everyday

I'm a little late about posting but we celebrated our 4 YEAR ANNIVERSARY on August 4! I can't believe how much has happened since then! A few of the big ones are.....we got MARRIED, became parents to a handsome little boy Jaxon, got sealed in the temple, bought our first house, had a beautiful little girl Peyton, Kaden started a new job at the beginning of this year which he absolutely LOVES doing, and we are expecting our 3rd baby...another little BOY in November! I love Kaden now more than ever, we have been through a lot together but I'm so grateful for him in my life! I LOVE YOU KADEN! Can't wait for the many more years to come!
We went to Olive Garden....my favorite! And we went to see Charlie St. Cloud....Great movie fyi! Loved it! Go see it!

Kaden and Mothers Day

My HANDSOME husband's BIRTHDAY was on Friday May 7!! We weren't able to celebrate and have cake until sunday but he was a good sport about it:) I'm just gonna brag about him for a minute and try not to be mushy:) ....he is so AMAZING. I don't know how, but he is able to talk and befriend anyone, anywhere. He is the most forgiving person I've ever known which is a huge fault of mine but I have a great example from him. He is also a worthy priesthood holder and does his calling in church without complaint. He is a great husband and daddy to our kids. They just adore him and can't wait for him to get home from work. He never complains about hours and jobs that he's had since we've been married and the stress they have caused him and always came home with a smile on his face. I'm so grateful that he works so hard so I'm able to stay home and raise our kids.
He is also an awesome snowboarder, softball player, and is learning to play soccer with me:). He can fix just about ANYTHING and if he doesn't know how, he'll figure it out. I'm so HAPPY to call him mine. LOVE you babe!

MOTHERS DAY
We had dinner at my mom's with my parents, big sister Jenny and her husband, and my 2 beautiful little sisters Amy and Emily. Then had cake and ice cream for Kaden's birthday. Afterwards we went to Kaden's parents to wish his mom a happy mothers day. Unfortunately I forgot to take more pictures of our day!

We've been working on our windows and ripped out our main doors and got new ones and cased them this past week! We have had unfinished windows throughout our main floor since we moved in over 2 years ago and finally have them cased!! woo hoo! I love finishing obnoxious projects in the house, but I guess that's what you get with a fixer upper. Kadens cousin Zach came and was awesome to help us! We also got some new light fixtures in the kids rooms, dining room, kitchen and front entry! Kaden and I also play co-ed indoor soccer every week and in our game a couple days ago, I stepped in front of a shot that a guy kicked and this is the result...best bruise i've ever had and this picture really doesn't do it justice! i have to say it stung reeeaaallllllyyyy bad! as you can see, the imprint of the ball's seams! pretty sweet:)!

Kaden has been working so hard to pass his P & C Insurance test for his license for a while now and tonight he finally passed after all the hard work!!! I love you babe, and we're on to a new job! He has worked at Chanshare Sod Farms for the past 11 years and has had the opportunity to do something different at Farm Bureau, and it's finally coming together! I'm so proud to call him mine:) This is right after he got in from taking it!

Jaxon and Peyton both had check up's and shots last week. Come to find out Peyton is in the 2% for her age and Jaxon is in the 97%! Totally opposite ends of the charts. Who'd of thought:) Both healthy so that's all we can ask for.
We carved pumpkins on monday with Kaden's family. We had lots of fun and my arm was sore from digging out my pumpkin...such a wimp:)

we have been potty training jaxon for almost 2 months now. he does really good going pee but he will run and hide to poop! he has yet to go and sit on the toilet and go. i remind him constantly and just can't get him to do it! we've tried milk, toys, treats, cars........i don't know what to do anymore! any advice???! Yesterday, i went down to Spanish Fork to hang out with some of my best friends. i grew up playing soccer with these girls and i love them. We went wave running out on the Utah Lake. It was so fun to see them and just relax in the sun. Peyton's not in any of these cuz she slept in her stroller the whole time.

When we first got out to Robyn's house, they were riding horses so Meg let Jaxon hop on with her to ride a couple times around. He loved it!

This was 2 weeks ago or so. The doctor thought Peyton had RSV, but she tested negative for it. She had the same symptoms though so they put her on steriods and "breathing treatments". We had to do these 4 times a day. I felt so bad cuz she didn't like having that thing on her face. She's all better now though.

This is just random of jaxon. This is what he looks like most of the time. His blanket in one hand and his sippy cup with milk in the other...have i ever mentioned he drinks about a gallon of milk EVERYDAY?!

kaden's little brother, dixon, had a baseball tourney in st. george this weekend, so we went to watch him play. he is a sophomore at bear river high school and is the starting pitcher for the jv team and plays a little bit in varsity but has the chance to play alot of varsity time. he's such an awesome player. i didn't like baseball much before i started watching him and i actually enjoy it most of the time. the weather was beautiful, it was kinda depressing coming home today to cold weather. i got pretty burnt at the games, and that was the first time i've been out in the sun in a very long time so i was packing on the sunscreen cuz i fry! and can i say i don't mind going on vacation...but i hate coming home and having to unpack and do laundry and put stuff away! it seems really overwhelming!

Peyton's Blessing Day

We blessed Peyton today and are glad some of our family and friends could come. It turned out great and she looked so beautiful! She is such a happy baby and we have loved getting to know her and her sweet little personality. She is 2 1/2 months old and she has already brought so much love and joy into our home. Her big brother Jaxon absolutely adores her and they are so cute together.

Thanks to Kadens sweet mother for making peyton's dress for me. I showed her what i wanted and a day later she had it done. She is so talented at stuff like that.

So if you haven't heard of P 90x...you need to look it up. its a workout program that in my opinion, is the best i've ever heard of. it looks so awesome and fun. you can do it right at home so you don't need to go anywhere which i know is hard with kids ladies! i've talked to alot of people that have been doing it and they love it and say it really works. go to www.BeachBody.com/P90X and check it out

Kaden is an amazing husband, dad and friend. i try to show him how much i love and appreciate him as much as possible, so i'm letting everyone else know what an awesome guy i am married to. He works very hard to keep me home with our kids so we don't have to get a babysitter, and he does it with a great attitude. even when hours get rough at work. so i love you kaden and here's some pics of a few things to show how awesome he is. i don't have a picture of this, but he really enjoys playing softball and he plays soccer with me.

This is a picture of one of the first times we ever hung out together. and the one below is 3 years later...wow we both look alot older now and have alot of amazing memories together. its amazing how fast time goes by when you're enjoying life

kaden loves hunting. this is a deer that his friend nate shot. the only ones i have of the ones kaden has shot are a little gross. i don't mind them but someone else might...so i put this one up instead cuz he helped spot it, gut it and haul it off. i won't brag him up to bad, but he's got the best shot out of anyone i know. everyone he hunts with always tell me how good of a shot he is with his gun. especially during bird hunting season. he hunts his deer with a bow tho. and he's gotten one every year for the past 3 years he's gotten a tag.

and at last...remember our renovation project we started almost a year ago...this is at the beginning

and now, thanks to kaden and his hard work...i helped alot too tho. thanks to kadens parents and my dad in helping us finish to this point. we're so grateful for all of them. we're not all the way done yet but its livable now:) and i love it.

I'm pretty sure we don't need to worry about jaxon being a makeup artist someday. We were running errands today, and when i looked in the back seat...this is what jaxon was up to. somehow he got in my makeup bag and found mascara. he was afraid he was going to be in trouble but we couldn't even get mad cuz we were laughing so hard. kids are awesome. we love you jaxon:)!

Bath Time

Peyton is still so little! We took her to the doctors last week and at one month old she is a woppin 7 lbs. and 8 oz. She fits in the kitchen sink for her bath which makes things a little bit easier for me!

Look at those big eyes! She loves taking baths.

She doesn't so much love having to get out though.

Over the Holidays

Yay for 2009! 2008 was a great year and hope 2009 is even better. hopefully we can make some new year goals and actually stick to them this year!

I'm not due til the 26th of December, but i've already been dialating for 2 weeks now and my doctor is afraid if i go into labor on my own, i just might have the baby on the road before we make it to the hospital. So, he is starting me on Tuesday morning the 16th at 745 to have this baby!! yay! i can't wait to not be pregnant anymore and hopefully be able to sit and breath normally again! i think i've forgotten what it feels like to be able to lay on my tummy and not get winded walking from the bathroom to my bed everynight:) so we will have a new addition to our family this week! hooray

TIME FOR AN UPDATE!!

A little of whats happened that last 4 months!!! i'm due on December 26th. My doctor informed me that he would be starting my by the 19th if i hadn't gone into labor yet. I go for a checkup tomorrow and we'll see how things are progressing if any at all. I think he wants a Christmas as much as me since we were there on Thanksgiving with Jaxon, so we're starting a week early no matter what...if things look good obviously. So we're counting down days now!!! YAY! i'm excited to not be pregnant anymore. its a great thing but i'm ready to be done!! Other than that nothing really exciting has happened lately, we're just waiting for this little girl to show up!! Here's some pics of a few things that have gone on since my last blog which i know is pathetic...

Me and jaxon did a toddler swimming class this summer with a bunch of his buddies and their mom's. This is jaxon with Walker right before we headed out to the pool.

Jaxon decided after we had given him a bath, that he wanted to get back in his tub 2 seconds after we got him out and put his pj's on him. I guess he thought he needed another one with his toy!

BOY OR GIRL?

July was a crazy month with 4th and 24th and just summer fun. We got sealed on July 26th in the Salt Lake Temple! It was an incredible experience to be there with Kaden and have Jaxon be there with us. Jaxon was such a good boy! I haven't got any pictures back from that yet, but i hopefully will soon! And I had my ultrasound today!!! ITS A GIRL! We're so excited, and i'm due December 26. 21 weeks right now so i'm on the down slope from here on out! i've been feeling good, i'm finally starting to show, and like i said i'll post pictures soon of everything!

Good News!

ok, i've been really lazy about posting! i haven't had internet for a couple of weeks and my connection is back. Anyways...a couple things that have been going on and i'll post some pictures sometime!! First, Kaden and I are going to be having another baby!! aahh Crazy! i'm due on December 26...i'm about 15 1/2 weeks along (or almost 4 months) so if i'm at no Christmas Parties and celebrations, you'll know why! I don't know what we're having yet but i'll let you know. Second, for those that came to our wedding know it was a civil marriage because we got pregnant before we were married. We've been working with our bishop and finally will be getting sealed in the Salt Lake Temple!!! YAY for us:) It's been a wonderful experience and can't wait to be sealed for time and all eternity to my amazing husband and little boy! I still need to call the temple and set a date, but that will all be taken care of this week!
